MEET OUR PIANO TUNING EXPERT
Caleb has spent his whole life surrounded by music. Growing up as the youngest of 7, Caleb’s family traveled around the Midwest performing Southern Gospel and Bluegrass Gospel music for many years, so it is only natural that he would make a career of music as well. Caleb underwent years of training under a true piano expert, and legend in the piano tuning world, David Horine. David, (owner of Horines Pianos Plus), is well-known and trusted in the piano tuning and service realm and has had three piano stores: one in Bloomington, Peoria & La Salle Peru, providing thousands of pianos to homes, churches, schools & universities as well as offering the best in piano servicing, tuning, & repair. Caleb was then sent out from the store to perform in-home private tunings. After a few years and a few thousand pianos tuned, David Horine then decided to privatize the tuning and repair side of his business and Gates Piano Service was born!
Caleb is also married to his lovely wife Samantha. And has three beautiful little girl’s that keep him hopping.

Caleb Gates has worked under many professional tuners including David Horine and Joshua Horine of Horines Pianos Plus. Other colleagues of Caleb include Chuck Beck, Tim Scholz, Tom Sander, Matt Tomlianovich, Ron Scott, Gary Strode, and Sam Strakovsky to name a few. During his many years of practice in this industry, Caleb has become a true master in piano tuning and service. Dedicated to excellence, attention to detail, expert care and craftmanship is what to expect from Gates Piano Service.
Caleb lives in Carlock but operates in a wide radius from home. Normal, Peoria, Bloomington, Funks Grove, Mclean, Woodford, Atlanta, Lincoln, Eureka, Washington, Downs, El Paso, Manito, Clinton, Hopedale, Pekin, Dunlap, Gridley, Roanoak, are just a few of the cities he covers with quality piano care. Services offered by Gates Piano Service include, dampp chaser installation, tuning, voicing, pitch correction, string replacement, minor repairs, and many others!
